We Will Ensure Equitable Distribution Of Palliatives – Ondo Acting GovernorFriday August 25, 2023Ondo State Acting Governor, Hon Lucky Aiyedatiwa has promised that, distribution of the subsidy palliatives will be conducted impartially, transcending political affiliations, class or creed as it intended to alleviate the impact of subsidy policy on the State’s citizens.Aiyedatiwa gave these assurances when the leadership of Nurses 4 BAT Nigeria, Ondo State chapter visited him in his office in Akure on Wednesday.Nurse Patience Arinola Adamolekun who is the State Coordinator of Nurses 4 BAT Nigeria, Ondo State chapter, led other leaders of the association on a courtesy visit to the Acting Governor.The group came to inform government of the challenges they are facing and how health workers will benefits from palliatives distributions in the State.Receiving the team with Acting Governor, are Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Alhaji Amidu Takuro, Deputy Chief of Staff to Governor, Office of Acting Governor, Prince Segun Omojuwa, Press Secretary to Governor, Office of Acting Governor , Kenneth Odusola-Stevenson and Special Assistant to Governor on New Media, Ladi Okunniga.Assuring leaders of the association, Aiyedatiwa said, the State Government will ensure equitable distribution to all sections and sectors of the society including those in the medical field.He said, “government has the responsibility to cater to all citizens irrespective of their political affiliations, class and creed” .”Government will ensure speedy delivery, equitable distribution and transparency” .The Acting Governor emphasized the State’s commitment towards fairness and transparency as the government intends to ensure that the entire process remains just and equitable.While acknowledging the association for their visit, Aiyedatiwa lauded the exemplary contributions of Nurses 4 BAT, Nigeria, Ondo State chapter to the victory of President Bola Tinubu in the last Presidential election.He appreciated nurses and other care givers for managing and providing direct care to patients in various settings as they are patient advocates.Earlier, Nurse Patience Arinola Adamolekun appreciated the State Government for the improvement in the health sector.She equally disclosed some of their challenges as health workers, and on the need for government to put them into consideration as government prepared to roll out palliatives to the people in the State.Friday August 25, 2023
