Princess Akindoye who is a Princess from Idanre kingdom and has been the Iyaloja of Idanre for over twenty years before she was later installed as Iyaloja of Ondo expressed surprise to the development saying it is allien to the practice of traders association.
She said Folashade Nurudeen can not be the Iyaloja General of Southwest as she already have prominent market leaders ahead of her who are eminently qualified to take up the position.
Princess Akindoye added that becoming Iyaloja General of Southwest is not a personal decision but by the decisions of traders in the Southwest who might have found such leader worthy of such honour.
She advised Folasade Nurudeen to toe the path of honour by not going ahead with such plans as it may berth crisis across market in the south west.
The Ondo market leader cautioned politicians to stay out of issues that have to do with market and not to politicised such sensitive matters.
She then called on the Oyo state government, state police command, other security agencies to ensure such ceremony never holds in order for peace and harmony to continue to reign not only in Oyo state but Southwest.
In her comment, Chief Waye Osho said the planned installation came to her as a shock and find it so difficult to believe such can ever happened.
“How can such happened, I had been market leaders over thirty years ago and nothing of such never happened. So why now?”
“I had called her and she denied of ever having such plans, but if otherwise, then let’s watch how it will go”
