President Bola Tinubu, on Sunday, expressed deep gratitude to the people and the late Awujale of Ijebu Land, Oba Sikiru Adetona, acknowledging their role in his political journey and success in the 2023 general elections.
Speaking at the 8th Day Fidau prayers for the late monarch, Tinubu stated that the nation’s history “would not have been completed carefully and richly” had he failed in the last election, attributing his success to the support of the people and the blessings of the late Awujale.
He went on to thank the Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, whom he described as “Okanlomo Eleyi of Ogun State” for his role before, during and after the burial.
