Oyo state stalwart of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Dr Laolu Adepoju has commended Oyo state Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde over the renaming of Oke Ogun Polytechnic after a former secretary to the Oyo state government, Chief Michael Koleoso.

Dr Adepoju in a release on Friday morning described the step as commendable and laudable which must be appreciated by all.

He stated that it is a thing of joy when individuals who have contributed to the development of their state are honoured even when they are still living just like the honour bestowed on Chief Koleoso by Gov Makinde.

While congratulating Chief Koleoso on his birthday, Dr Adepoju extolled the great virtues of Chief Koleoso which transcend Oyo state and south west but cut across the country.

He added that Chief Koleoso is a leader who is worthy of emulation at all times.

Also commenting on Iseyin-Ogbomosho road named after late former Governor Adebayo Alao Akala, Adepoju described it as another right decision which must be celebrated by all indigenes of Ogbomoso and close associate of the late former Governor.

He prayed for the repose of the soul of Otunba Adebayo Alao Akala.

While concluding his statement, Adepoju congratulate Gov Makinde for a successful conduct of the recent local government election across the state.

He described the newly inaugurated chairmen as men of dignity and commitment to the good works embarked upon by Governor Seyi Makinde.

He charged them to be faithful to their calling and serve with sincerity of purpose in order to bring government close to their people at the grassroot.
