As Oyo State College of Health Science and Technology Eleyele Ibadan put together seri es of programmes for its New Students for 2022/2023 Academic Session, the Acting Provost, Pharmacist Oluyemisi Oyewo has called on the newly admitted students to be committed and put in their best for better performance.
This is contained in a statement issued in Ibadan by the College Public Relations officer, Mr Sola Samuel Ojewole and made available to newsmen in Ibadan.
Declaring open the three- days orientation programme held at the college Hall at Eleyele, Ibadan.
Pharmacist Oyewo enjoined the students not to be distracted by frivolous activities but face their studies to make head way for better future.
Pharmacist Oyewo said that the Management of the College through the support from the Governing Council led by Dr. Aaron Ola Ogundiwin and the Commissioner, Ministry of Health Dr. Olabode Ladapo had put in place necessary machineries including conducive learning environment for optimum academic attainment.
Addressing the New students the Guest Lecturer, Professor Jacob Ayantayo of the University of Ibadan, who anchored his lecture on “Ethics of Lifestyle” urged the students to relate well, remain focused, be hardworking, eschew sexual immorality, have rightful Role model and be God fearing.
The Registrar of the College Mrs Oladupe Ayoola in her speech implored the new students to observe the College rules and regulations and desist from any act inimical to their academic progress.
Some of the students expressed delight over the three-day-orientation programme describing it as superb and interesting promising to be of good moral standard.
They commended the Management for organising the programme which they said had exposed them to what they needed to know for academic breakthrough.
The event was attended by members of College Management and Heads of Departments.
Oyo State College of Health Science and Technology was established on 1st April 1933 for the training of middle level Health care workers and its products are spread across Nigeria and Overseas.
