OSM President, Shobowale Commends Governor Abiodun As Government Approves, Begins Payment Of N77,000 as Minimum Wage

The President, Ogun State Solidarity Movement, OSM, Lekan Shobo Shobowale had commended the Ogun State, Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, over the approval and immediate payment of sum of N77,000 as the minimum wage for the lowest worker in the state.

Shobowale, in a statement on Monday, described the step as commendable and one of the best news to not only workers but residents of Ogun State. the payment takes immediate effect.

He said the decision by the governor as once again proved that Governor Dapo Abiodun is indeed a worker friendly , humane, and compassionate.

Shobowale added that the governor, who is also the Governor-General of the Southern Nigeria, has justified the leadership responsibility bestowed on him.

“Let me congratulate all workers and residents of Ogun state on this cheering news tonight. It’s indeed the best news of today, and I’m sure Ogun state workers will forever be grateful to the governor.

“Indeed, Governor Abiodun promised a few weeks ago that the Ogun State Government will be leading in the payment of the new minimum wage. Today, he had fulfilled that promise.

I want to thank His Excellency for his show of leadership, which is uncommon, especially at this time, and also urge workers to reciprocate this good gesture of government.

“For now, Ogun is leading, and it will be so difficult for any state to overtake this big news.
