Ondo Governor, Akeredolu Appreciates Tinubu For Redeeming N75M Pledge To Owo Attack Victims

Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, has said the interest of the poeple of the state is most crucial to his administration in line with his government’s REDEEMED Agenda.

The Governor noted that the REDEEMED agenda and the One Administration mantra are all geared toward quality service delivery.

Governor Akeredolu reiterated his commitment to the development of the state, saying he would leave the state better than he met it.

He spoke in his office on Tuesday while receiving the Ondo State House of Assembly Service Commission led by its chairman and former deputy Speaker, Rt. Hon. Dare Emiola.

The leadership of the Commission specifically lauded Governor Akeredolu for the reconstruction of the State House of Assembly Complex, describing it as another Legacy Project from the Akeredolu administration.

The Governor, who said the newly reconstructed complex would soon be commissioned, further commended the leadership of the commission for keying into his administration’s REDEEMED Agenda for the betterment of the state and the poeple.

Stressing the importance of training and retraining of the commission’s staff to improve their productivity and experience, the Governor explained that his Government is ready to employ poeple with some measures of training, particularly poeple that are technologically savvy.

Arakunrin Akeredolu, who acknowledged the dwindling resources as a serious challenge confronting the country, noted that so many things are competing for the little resources available to the State

He said:”I thank you for your observation on what we have been able to do at the Assembly, the hallowed chamber, and the building itself. It is set to be declared open, probably this month or next month. It is ready now.

“Very soon, our legislators will move to the place and make use of it. They deserve it. I had been there before and I told them we were going to do it but they thought we were joking.”

Governor Akeredolu said his administration would have touched all the arms of government in the state before the end of his tenure.

He stated that a new Governor’s Lodge which will be a legacy project is ongoing, adding that the new High Court Complex project will soon begin.

On the Owo Attack, the Governor appreciated those who have redeemed their pledges to the victims.

Governor Akeredolu particularly appreciated the APC Presidential Candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for redeeming his pledge of N75m to the Church and the victims.

He also appreciated the security agents for apprehending the perpetrators, expressing confidence that justice will be served at the end of the day.

Earlier, the Chairman, House of Assembly Service Commission, Rt. Hon. Dare Emiola, lauded Governor Akeredolu for always standing tall to defend his people and remaining an irrepressible voice of the voiceless in the South-West region.

“In line with the REDEEMED Agenda of government, the Commission, as a personnel outfit serving the Legislative Arm, has tenaciously keyed into the maxim of One Administration, One Service by which we have been working in concert with other sister Commissions and the Office of Head of Service to ensure proper calibration of the engine room of government for smooth service delivery.

“Our harmonious relationship with the House of Assembly in particular and other MDAs generally through engagement in strategic discussion on mutually benefited issues for a better service delivery has been very helpful.”he added.
