The President and Founder, Peter Olaoluwa Foundation, (POF), Olaoluwa Peter Abidemi, has commiserated with the families of the victims of building collapse in Jegede community, Ona Ara local government area of Oyo State.
In a statement on Friday through his media office and made available in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital, Olaoluwa, said the incident which has left 13 dead and several injured is shocking and sad.
Olaoluwa expressed his sympathy to the victims’ families, describing the incident as “one tragedy too many”.
The statement reads: “My deep condolences go to the families of the children who lost their lives in the unfortunate building collapse that happened at Jegede on Friday.
” This is one tragedy too many, especially at this time.
” My prayers are with the affected families and the injured.
“While emergency workers are making frantic efforts to clear the rubbles and rescue more victims, I urge residents to join hands with the officials in any way possible to reduce fatalities and lessen attendant trauma of the incident.”
He prayed that such should not happen in the state again.
