The President, Peter Olaoluwa Foundation, (POF), Olaoluwa Peter Abidemi, popularly called OPA, has condole with families who lost their children to the Wednesday stampede at Ibadan children carnival.
Olaoluwa, in a release on Wednesday through his media office in Ibadan, expressed shock and sadness to the tragic incident.
He said the news was shocking and terrible, especially when families were preparing for the year Christmas and New Year celebrations.
He sympathise with those affected and their loved ones and take solace in the good memories of the little ones whose their life was cut short in their teens.
“I receive this shocking news with sadness and tears in my eyes. It’s so shocking and saddening to see children dying through avoidable deaths.
“I commiserate with the parents , loved ones, as well as the government and people of Ogun State. This is a time to be calm and come together to pay respect to these little ones and pray for the repose of their innocent souls.
“May God rest their soul and give their families the fortitude to bear the painful loss.”
