As the year 2024 comes to a close, the Special Adviser to Ondo State Governor on Energy, Engr Johnson Alabi has been reflecting on the achievements and challenges of the past year.
On Wednesday the Special Adviser received a courtesy visit from Special Assistant to Governor on Digital Media, Bombay Ladi-Okunniga at his office in Akure.
During the visit, Okunniga commended the Special Adviser on his efforts to transform the energy sector in the state.
He praised the Adviser’s commitment to increasing energy access through O’Datiwa Pre Paid Meters, promoting renewable energy, and improving energy efficiency.
The Special Adviser, while appreciating Okunniga’s kind words, highlighted some of the key accomplishments of his team in 2024.
He cited the successful implementation of several energy projects, including the installation of solar-powered streetlights in major Streets of Akure, the State capital and the launch of O’Datiwa smart meters for the state.
Engr Alabi expressed optimism about the prospects for the energy sector in the new year, citing the state government’s commitment to increasing investment in energy infrastructure.
He therefore thanked the Executive Governor of Ondo State, His Excellency, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa for his visionary leadership and for creating enabling environment for the energy sector to thrive in Ondo State.
