Ogun Governor Gifts Super Falcons Fifty Million Naira

Prince Dapo Abiodun, the Governor of Ogun State, on Monday, received the Super Falcons of Nigeria at his office in Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, ahead of their second-leg WAFCON 2026 qualifier against the Amazons of Benin Republic.

In recognition of their remarkable achievements and to further inspire them for the task ahead, the governor announced a support package of ₦50 million for the team.

Governor Abiodun commended the Falcons for their record-breaking tenth WAFCON title in Morocco, a victory that brought immense pride to our nation. He noted that the team’s excellence goes beyond football as they continue to exemplify leadership, teamwork, and discipline.

Through their inspiring journey, millions of young women across Nigeria have learned that excellence knows no gender and that with hard work, focus, and unity, every dream is attainable.

On behalf of the government and the good people of Ogun State, the governor assured the super Falcons of our continuous and unwavering support as they represent our nation with pride and determination.
