Ebonyi State chapter of the People’s Democratic Party PDP has rejected caretaker committee, accuses Oyo State Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde of masterminding crisis due to his ambition of running for the presidential ticket on the platform of the PDP in 2027
They alleged that the shortchanging of list of caretaker committee in the state was part of the hatchet jobs which Governor Makinde has conscripted the PDP National Vice Chairman, Southeast, Ali Odefa to destroy the party in the zone.
The 2023 senatorial candidate of Ebonyi South, Silas Onu, also added that Governor Makinde is using PDP’s National Organising Secretary, Umar Bature to disorganize the party in Ebonyi State.
