Today, HE, Babajide Sanwolu paid a working visit to the Adiyan Water Works to check on the progress of Phase II of the project, which will supply Lagos residents with 70 million gallons of water daily.

He stated his government’s commitment to ensuring the timely completion of this vital project, and it will significant to enhancing the economy and living standards of Lagosians. Civil works are being carried out, including installing pipes to transport water from the Ogun River to Adiyan.

He appreciated the cooperation on this project between the Commissioner of Environment, Tokunbo Wahab, the MD Lagos State Water Corporation, Mr. Mukhtaar Tijani, the contractor Salini Nigeria Ltd, and the host community.
While there is still work to be done, he said, I am confident that we will continue to build the necessary capacity to meet the water needs of our city.
