**”Applauded PPIMU on Deep Workshop.

Ondo State Deputy Governor, Hon Lucky Aiyedatiwa has declared that both the Geographical Information System (GIS) and the Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (RAAMP) are expected to impact positively on the transformation agenda of Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu-led government in Ondo State.
Aiyedatiwa made this disclosure in his closing remarks at the end of a 5-Day Deep Drive Workshop organized by the Ondo State delivery unit, the Performance and Project Implementation Monitoring Unit (PPIMU) in conjunction with it’s technical partners, the center of Excellence of the African Development Bank, Operational office for Monitoring the Emerging Senegal Plan (BOS/PSE), held at Royal Birds Hotels and Suites, Alagbaka Akure, on Friday.
PPIMU was established in Ondo State to facilitate the creation of a collaborative culture and a robust system for performance, management, project monitoring, evaluation and learning.
According to Aiyedatiwa, “a Deep Drive Workshop properly called is unlike the usual or common workshops we find in other places” .
“It is by its nature, a very tasking, vigorous and intensive exercise”, he said.
Upon conducting a comprehensive assessment during the 5-day Deep Drive Workshop, two initiatives namely, the GIS and RAAMP project were identified as being of utmost importance.
He said the focus of the workshop centered on GIS and RAAMP, so as to create a collaborative culture and a robust system for the performance, management, project monitoring, evaluation and learning for overall development in Ondo State.
While commending the organisers for the 5-day workshop, Aiyedatiwa said, “you have been able to focus on two critical projects, the Geographical Information System (GIS), and the Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (RAAM), both of which are at the heart of the agenda of Mr Governor for the transformation of Ondo State” .
The Deputy Governor thanked PPIMU and it’s foreign partners for organizing the workshop whose outcome would have a combined multiplier effects on the developmental programmes of the State Government as encapsulated in the REDEEMED Agenda under Mr Governor for the transformation of Ondo State.
Likewise, Aiyedatiwa appreciated the commissioner/head of Ministry of Infrastructures, lands and Housing and RAAMP implementing organs in the State.
He said, the 5-day workshop has been fascinating and impactful as he urged on the need to ensure that the lessons and knowledge acquired are converted to assets for the collective good of the State.
Earlier, PPIMU Director General, Engr Babajide Akeredolu expressed his appreciation to BOS team represented by Mr Djiby Diagne, Mr Da by Diack and Mr Chiekh Kebe whose expertise and guidance have been instrumental in assisting PPIMU to develop sustainable framework for project monitoring in Ondo State.
On the workshop, Babajide Akeredolu said, “this Deep Drive Workshop has been an immersive and continuous learning experience for both participants and facilitators alike” .
“It has served as platform to highlight the potentials of our State and transformative impact that well-planned projects can have on the public” .
He thereafter expressed deep appreciation to all the participants and facilitators for their unwavering patience and dedication throughout the workshop, promising that, the outcome derived from the workshop would be presented to the State Executive Council for further action.
