..as fuoye again allegedly removes principal witness name from NYSC list

No doubt Federal University, Oye Ekiti (FUOYE) has been in the news in the last few weeks not because any of its students won academic laurel, local or international scholarship nor it’s teaching staff granted a huge sum of research fund but only because of an unimaginable female students harassment and intimidation allegedly by a prominent randy lecturer who is best known for this practice.
The alleged lecturer, Chiedu Akporaro Abrifor is well known to be his best when it comes to harassing female students, intimidating them and even threatening in some instances but yet, the University management till now never see any reason why this man should be shown the exit door of the University.
Abrifor like many of its God fathers in the school should be facing the music of their unholy actions but FUOYE management still shows delight in keeping them.
At FUOYE, it is one week, one scandal as many keen observers know especially in recent times.
With unkind attitude of FUOYE management, one can partially concluded sex for marks, female harassment and intimidation may likely be entrenched in the school while serious effortis and firepower from the feminist angle, with high-profile like former Ekiti first lady, Bisi Fayemi, who had never hide her hatred for such animalistic and Ibim Semenitari (former MD of NDDC), among others may be jeopardize knowing fully well they were also sexually harassed while in the university.
It is important to tell the management that these guys are a big dragback for Nigeria’s educational development.
On this premise, It is evident that FUOYE management under the leadership of the current Vice Chancellor has not lived up to its bill and is therefore really sad and discouraraging for those on this fight.
As the scandal blew open, More revelations from everywhere, students who had left the school on the altar of being harassed and eventually outsted, some with word of mouth, some with unauthorised withdrawal letter had all appeared before the panel and management to gave their evidences.
One prominent discovery in all the evidences were stories of victimization, extortion of students, ruining of lives, deliberate failure of women because of refusal to ‘deal’,.
Now that enough evidences have been gathered against Abrifor and his cohorts, Nigerians, and indeed the rest of the are waiting on leadership of FUOYE, the office of the Ekiti State First Lady who is also ensuring the case is not swept under the carpet to toe the line of his predecessors in Nigeria Universities who had shown exit doors to many of his randy and sex freak Professor’s.
It is also important to protect those victims who were bold to testified openly to the many atrocities of Abrifor’s of this world, that to ensure they are secured and there must be witchhunting of any forms.
Worthy of note is the recent exclusion of the principal witness, Benita, who by now should be on her way to NYSC camp but her name is missing on the list for coming out to tell the stories of the untouchable FUOYE sex for marks lecturers who are in a very long clique.
Maybe, the school will enlighten members of the public on the removal of Benita’s name from NYSC list after successful graduation from the University.
In all, for all parties in the case, Justice must be seen to prevail.
