Former majority leader of the Oyo state House of Assembly, Hon Kehinde Subair, has congratulated the new Ekarun Balogun of Ibadanland, Oba (Senator) Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli on his elevation by the Olubadan of Ibadanland.
This is contained in a statement he personally signed and made available to newsmen on Friday afternoon in Ibadan.
Hon Subair described the elevation as timely and show appreciation to the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Owolabi Olakunlehin, for his wisdom and leadership in bestowing this honour.
He commended Oba (Sen.) Alli for his continuous efforts to uphold the traditions and values of Ibadanland in his capacity as a federal lawmaker and a politician of note and high standard.
Hon Subair commended Olubadan Traditional Council for their unwavering support and collective effort in ensuring unquantifiable support to the Olubadan since his ascension to the throne of his fore father’s.
Subair, who is also a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, acknowledged the pivotal role being played by Oba Sen. Alli since coming on board as the Senator representing Oyo South Senatorial Distri, t which has seen him uplifting the downtrodden in his senatorial district and given hope to the hopeless.
He added that the Senator now Oba has contributed massively to the preservation of the existing harmony and unity that the city of Ibadan is known known for, which has defined the city as the capital of the South-West.
