..commends Tinubu, Makinde commitment to governance

A stalwart of the Oyo State chapter of People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Mogaji Olawale Oladoja has described the inability of some National Assembly members including those from Oyo State to give back to people the Palliatives given to them by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Mogaji Oladoja in a release on Sunday while reacting to series of National issues stated that the public outcry which characterised the failure of lawmakers to give to their people the Palliatives entrusted to their care as a sad development which in the first place shouldn’t have happened.

Oladoja explained that the true essence of lawmakers activities at the assembly complex is to deliver dividends of democracy to their people and failure to do that is highly condemnable.

He added that he had it on good authority that some of the said rice had been sold and now scattered all over Nigeria market.

Oladoja further stressed that like Oyo State Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has done the needful in bringing joy to the people but many lawmakers are constituting obstacles to the progress.

He confirmed the gift of rice sent to him by one of the House of Reps members in Oyo State, Hon Abass Adigun Agboworin and called on others to toe same path.

He wondered the reason on which electorates should be snubbed by lawmakers with such significant gifts from the President.

Commenting on the alleged diversion of fund from the ministry of humanitarian, Oladoja called on President Tinubu to beam his searchlight on various govt agencies and ministries so as to clear the mess of yester years and rid the nation of corruption.

He expressed surprise on how an amount of such magnitude can be moved without Presidential approval.

Oladoja said the task of nation building can not only be left with the government but it’s a joint effort of all and sundry.

He then called on appointees from the Southwest to rise up to the responsibility of empowering the people from the region and stop all acts of blame game.

“I think Tinubu did his best by appointing people from all geo political zones especially people from the south, it’s now their duty to generate employment for their people.

“I’m using this opportunity to call on the Inspector General of Police, Minister of Finance, Comptroller General of Custom, his counterpart at Immigration, Governor, Central bank, Yemi Cardoso among others to use their good offices to move the region and it’s people forward.”

Mogaji Oladoja concluded by appealing to President Tinubu to considered the re-opening of the Nation’s bothers in order to ease the current economic pains of Nigerians.
