Following the removal of fuel subsidy by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Chieftain of the Oyo State chapter of the People’s Democratic party (PDP) Mogaji Olawale Oladoja has urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to ensure Fuel subsidy is well utilized.
Mogaji Oladoja stated this during a media chat with journalists at his Akobo, Ibadan residence on Sunday.
Oladoja said that even though the removal is so painful to Nigerians, Tinubu must a t fast in order to alleviate the suffering of the people by putting the money at a sector that will be beneficial to Nigeria.
He identified Lagos-Ibadan-Abuja road as one major road the federal government must pay attention to.
Commenting on appointment of ministers, the politician counselled Tinubu to appoint only those that are ready to serve and not the ones that want to enrich themselves with Nigeria money.
He said people like “Femi Falana should be considered for appointment and not the usual pen shooters” Let those after well being of Nigeria come on board.”
He also warned the wife of the President, Senator Remi Tinubu to desist from making uncomplementary comments and other members of Tinubu immediate family.
He commended the recent signing into law of upgrade in the age of some judiciary workers.
He stated that judiciary in Oyo State especially will witness turnaround under the leadership of the state Chief Judge, Hon Justice Iyabo Yerima.
Mogaji Oladoja commended the Chief Judge for various innovative ideas introduced since when she came on board.
He expressed believes that judiciary in the state will witness more improvement during the reign of Justice Iyabo Yerima.
On the suspension and subsequent arrest of former Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele, Mogaji Olawale Oladoja said it is the right thing to do at this time.
He added that Emefiele has brought untold hardship on many Nigerians, while many more are dead due to the introduction of the new notes.
He then advised the federal government to see to the restoration of operation at Ajaokuta Steel Mill, which is capable of employing many unemployed youths with prudent management at the helms of affairs.
Mogaji Oladoja commended Governor Makinde for the recent flag-off of Akobo Oju irin to Olorunda Aba road and call for more people oriented projects of Omi-Tuntun 2.0.
