As Christians celebrate Easter, a House of Assembly Hopefully for Oluyole state constituency, Hon Wahab Muideen Abiodun (Ibile Oluyole) has urged members of his constituency and the state as a whole to make the interest of the nation and their area in particular a priority in all their endeavours in spite of religious or political differences.
Hon Abiodun in his Easter message made available to journalists, Saturday morning called for renewed faith and commitment to the ideals of nationhood, state and each constituency stating that it is important for people to continue to demonstrate resilience and perseverance as always in order to reach the Promised Land.
Hon Abiodun who was a member of the Eighth Oyo State House of Assembly called on citizens to maintain peace and order especially during this period of transition in the overall interest of the people.
“Whichever side of the religion or political divides we may find ourselves, what must be paramount is the interest of our area. What makes for the good of all; welfare and security of our citizens must of a necessity be our vision and purpose,” he said
He urged Christians to use the Easter celebrations to thank God for his grace on and continue to pray for peace, development and the greater good of the nation.
He emphasized the need for Christians to use the Easter period as a moment of sober reflection and to also pray for peaceful conduct, fairness and credibility in the 2023 general elections.
Hon Abiodun assures of effective and better representation if he’s again given the chance to represent Oluyole state constituency.
