Bishop Phillips Academy Old Students’ Association Inaugurate Excos

The Bishop Philips Old Students Association has inaugurated its recently elected National Executive Council to overseas the affairs of the association.

Speaking after he was sworn in, the new national president of the association, FP Alh. (Esv) Kunle Ogunsola (Osupa) fnivs said the inauguration marked the beginning of another outstanding impact in the school and the association as a whole.

According to the president, the association has witnessed a significant development despite many of its challenges in recent times.

Ogunsola stated that his first assignment as the president is to bring everybody together under one umbrella of the association and once again bring unity to its fold.

He said that the body will also work to expand the association and bring development to the school with the resources at its disposal.

Ogunsola added that the association has a lot to do in order to make positive and long lasting impact which can be achieved only through a joint effort and cooperation of all.

The president urges all members of the associaton to take on an active role for the future of the association.

Also, the National Public Relations Officer, Com Kehinde Akinyemi said it was a thing of joy to witnessed sùch an event and be part of the team primarily charged to further move the association forward.

He appealed to members to also play their own part as the new exco works to reposition the association.

The Chairman, organising committee who is also a former member of the exco, Dr Niyi Amusat said the event marked the end for all forms of crisis that has plaqued the association and the beginning of a new daen of the association.

He charged the new leadership to embrace love, unity and welfare of all its members so as to move the association forward.

A member of the association board of trustees, Dr Tajudeen Oladosu counselled members of the association to join hands with the new leadership by prompt payment of their dues among others.

Among dignitaries that attended the event includes former ALGON chairman in Oyo State, Prince Ayodeji Abass Aleshinloye, former Permanent Secretary in the state, Engr Alli, publicity secretary for Oyo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who is also an old student of the school, Hon Wasiu Olawale Sadare among others.
