The Reformed Arewa Youth Council of Nigeria (RAYCN) has alleged a plot by former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi; former Sokoto State Governor, Attahiru Bafarawa; and Sani Abdullahi Shinkafi to destabilize the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
At a press conference on Thursday, RAYCN National President Bilal Abdulahi claimed the trio is working with both national and international elements to undermine the current government. The alleged plan reportedly involves stockpiling firearms, staging protests across the North West, and starting unrest in Bafarawa’s hometown, with potential spillover to other states like Sokoto and Zamfara.
Abdulahi accused Amaechi of providing financial resources to Bafarawa, who, in turn, is funding Shinkafi’s alleged campaign against Tinubu’s administration. He described their actions as a “treasonable felony” and called on security agencies to launch an immediate investigation into the alleged conspiracy.
