A group in the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC, All Progressive Congress Grassroot Movement (APCGM) has commended the nineteen Northern Governors for backing the Southern Presidency come 2023.
The group in a release by it’s National Coordinator, Lekan Shobo Shobowale and made available to newsmen through its Acting Spokesperson Osho James also thanked President Muhammadu Buhari for coming out to endorsed Southern Presidency.
APCGM salutes the courage of the Northern Governors for standing up to what they believe is right not minding pressures from within and outside the region to again back Northern Presidency.
The group noted with appreciation the follow up approval by President Buhari who is currently the leader of the party and is doing that with love for the people and fear of God.
The release also appreciated the sonorous voice of Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo state who as the Chairman of Southern Governors Forum has been in the forefront of agitating for Southern Presidency for continued unity of Nigeria.
The group urged southern aspirants of the party to work together in unity of purpose so as to present a candidate that can match up to the personality of PDP candidate and after that win the election.
“We want to assure our great party (APC) that all members of APCGM will join hands with patriotic Nigerians and members of our party to ensure electoral victories for all APC candidates across board.”the statement added.
