The Board Secretary, Peter Olaoluwa Foundation (P.O.F), Rev Joseph Abidemi Dopamu, has been elevated as Honorary Canon in the Anglican Church Nigeria
Dopamu was one of the three clergymen that were elevated into the Honorary Canon rank on Sunday by the Bishop of Ibadan Anglican Diocese, His Grace, The Most Rev.Dr. Joseph Akinfenwa.
The President, Peter Olaoluwa Foundation, (P.O.F), Olaoluwa Peter Abidemi, has described Dopamu’s elevation as heartwarming especially as it came at a period the elevated priest is the head of the board administrative head.
Olaoluwa, a governorship aspirant in Oyo state, in a statement through his media office in Ibadan on Monday said, “described Dopamu as a loyal friend, partner in progress and compassionate.
He added that Dopamu, who is also coordinating his political movement, has contributed immensely to the growth of the foundation and improved life of its beneficiaries.
“It is noteworthy that your elevation, coming at this time, is a further attestation of your piety and dedication to the propagation of the Christian faith.
“I’m confident that your new status will afford you the opportunity to serve God and humanity at a higher level. I wish you a successful ministration as you take up the reins of office as Canon in the Anglican Church of Nigeria, Ibadan Diocese.
On his part, Canon Dopamu expressed gratitude to Bishop Akinfenwa for finding him worthy of the elevation and promised his continued service in the vineyard of God.
He also appreciated Olaoluwa Peter Abidemi, popularly called OPA, for giving him the platform to serve humanity and the society.
