A Day of Tributes was held in honor of the late Comrade Olatunde Oladunjoye at the June 12 Cultural Centre on Sunday, April 13, 2025. The event was organized by the Coalition of Civil Society Organizations in Ogun State, led by Comrade Bankole Alani, in partnership with Friends of Tunde Oladunjoye.
The event drew prominent attendees, including Hon. Joseph Folorunsho Adegbesan, member of the House of Representatives representing Ijebu North/Ijebu East/Ogun Waterside Federal Constituency. Guest speaker Mr. Richard Akinola delivered a keynote address, while Chief Mrs. Bola Obasanjo, wife of former President Olusegun Obasanjo, served as chairman of the day.
Others in attendance included, Founder Oniroyin Support Initiative, Mrs. Fadugba, SSA Media to Prince Dapo Abiodun, Governor of Ogun State; Ifekayode Akinbode, Chairman of Ijebu East Local Government Dr. Oluwadare Kehinde; and representatives from civil society organizations.
The late Comrade Oladunjoye was a stalwart politician and activist who served in various capacities, including former Publicity Secretary of Campaign for Democracy and Committee for the Defence of Human Rights, Former Executive Chairman of Ijebu East Local Government, and Senior Special Consultant on Media to the Ogun State Governor.
The event celebrated his life, legacy, and contributions to Ogun State and Nigeria, highlighting his commitment to democracy, human rights, and good governance.
