As the race to the Aso Rock kicks off among the 18 presidential candidates for the next general election, Presidential candidate of Labour Party,Peter Obi has urged Nigeria to intensity prayers for the country to have a peaceful transition.
The Labor party presidential candidate stated this while speaking with newsmen in Ibadan after a courtesy visit to Oyo state governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde as part of his consultation with well meaning Nigerians ahead of the next year’s election.
Mr Obi who said he is fully prepared for the task ahead, stressed the need for issue based campaign among political parties where candidates would come up with their commitment to the people.
Speaking on Nigeria at 62, Mr Obi said the country needed to celebrate its survival as a nation even though it has challenges confronting it.
