Isokan Ipinle Oyo, a socio cultural group in Oyo State has called on various groups and associations in Oyo State and support the second term bid of the state governor, Seyi Makinde.
Addressing journalists in Ibadan on Monday, the coordinator of the group, Dr Olaolu Adepoju said the group as assessed many people oriented projects of the governor and concluded that Governor Makinde should be given another four years to complete his good works.
Dr Adepoju said, Isokan Ipinle Oyo would support the Governor for a second tenure, ahead of the 2023 general election.
Adepoju said it was wrong to change a winning team, noting that Makinde had performed creditably well in improving the lot of the people of the state.
He noted that with the governor’s forthsighted leadership, the state was able to surmount the adversaries and contain the many challenges that had confronted the state against expectations of doom sayers.
“For us to thank him for his good work in this first tenure is to rally round him and re-elect him for a second tenure in order for him to complete many of his people oriented projects in varying stages of completion.
“As the voice of the people of Oyo State, we are calling on everyone in the state to rally round support for Governor Makinde.
He commended the Oyo State governor for said that government it’s effort in providing an enabling environment for services and businesses to thrive adding that the state had been in the business of transforming people’s lives through improved infrastructure.
