The National Vice President of the Committee for the Defence of Human Rights Comr. the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Egbetokun to assist in bringing to Justice the Police officer in Ipokia, who killed a secondary school student and injured others.
Folarin described the incident as sad calling on well meaning people of Ogun state and Nigerians in demanding that the arrest and prosecution of the police officer.
He chided the Nigeria Police Force, Ogun State Command for dispersing the protesting youth with tear gas,even when they are mourning their innocent colleague.
He said if the response to the demand for justice from the Nigeria Police Force was tear gasing and destruction as alleged by the youth , it then mean the Police had forgotten so quick the reminiscent of the EndSars struggle.
He acknowledged that the police authority strives on daily basis to redeem the image of the Nigeria Police Force, by engaging members of the public for reformation of the Policing system in Nigeria , activated the Public Complaint Response Unit, but still have a lot to be done in taming the excesses of the unrepentant officers in uniform who have always chosen the unprofessional routes, some of them now act like criminals at the check points.
