..charges resident to always report illegality to government
The Pioneer Chairman, Aare Laatosa Local Council Development Area, Bashorun Adekunle Oladeji has expressed shock and sympathised with victims of the Bodija, Ibadan explosion on Tuesday night.
In a statement, through his media office on Wednesday morning, Bashorun Oladeji popularly known as Omo BAO also expressed shock at the tragedy which many has described as a black Tuesday.
The former Council Boss said he received with sadness the news of the unfortunate incident which caused the loss of lives and property.
A misfortune of whatever scale anywhere is a tragedy to the everyone, and while stakeholders makes efforts to determine the cause of the incident, I send my deepest and profound sympathies to the victims, their families, government and people of Oyo State.
The rescue agents confirmed that at least 2 bodies have been recovered and efforts are ongoing to rescue victims trapped under caved-in structures.
Bashorun Oladeji then called on residents to imbibe the culture of speaking out when they noticed something strange or illegality.
He added that even though, Ibadan Indigenes are accommodating but should not be to their detriment adding for everyone, to know their neighbors.
Bashorun Oladeji prayed God to rest well the souls of the departed and gives quick healing to the injured.
