The Oyo State governor, Engr Seyi Makinde, has threatened immediate past local government chairmen under the leadership of it’s Chairman, Prince Ayodeji Abass Alesinloye of a probe if they continue to distract its government.
Governor Makinde stated this while featuring on a media chat on the Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State (BCOS).
He cautioned the former chairmen to desist from every acts of distracting the present government in the state or be prepared for a probe into their past activities.
The governor maintained that the sacked chairmen had been using all underhand methods to distract his government and hurt the people of the state, noting, however, that they will not succeed.
According to the governor, the ex-LG chairmen had been coming with all kinds of court processes, but he had kept his focus, adding that the government would now go after the embattled chairmen lawfully with a view to ensuring that they account for their deeds.
