..calls for calm as Nigerians prepare for planned protest
Oyo State governorship aspirant, Olaoluwa Peter Abidemi (OPA) has again commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu over the signing of national minimum wage bill into law.
Olaoluwa in a statement through his media office on Wednesday, described the step as a good omen for good things to come to workers in Nigeria.
He said President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has demonstrated uncommon courage and leadership in a way that seeks to improve the welfare of all Nigerian workers irrespective of any natural differences.
Olaoluwa stressed that the signing is coming into reality after many anticipation from the Nigerian workers due to long years of economic difficulties and instability.
“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has shown uncommon leadership, humane and capacity in the effort to ameliorate whatever economic difficulties confronting our workers and witt this he has once again set to recalibrate the wheels of our political and Economic growth in a way that it will make clear meanings to the average citizens.
“I thank Mr. President for this courage and passion to empower more our workers and hope that nigerian workers known for their hard work and expertise will reciprocate this gesture by putting in their very best.
Olaoluwa also called on all Nigerians of all extraction not to participate in any national protest, which may bring about retrogression and setbacks in the nation.
He said dialogue remains the only solution through which conflict and misunderstandings can be resolved.
