Members of the Authentic Mogaji’s of Ibadanland has assured sons and daughters of Ibadanland that the Olubadan-designate, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, is well and hearty and he is in high spirit to be installed as the 43rd Olubadan of Ibadanland.
The Authentic Mogajis of Ibadanland made this disclosure through his spokesperson, Mogaji Olawale Oladoja shortly after it’s meeting in Ibadan.
The group said it has observed with surprise the actions and utterances of some notable personalities in Ibadanland over the state of health of Olubadan designate and wondered the reasons for some of their actions and words.
The statement said members of the group few days ago were at the Alalubosa private residence of Oba Olakulehin and can boldly asy that all his well with him and believe the Olubadan designate will soon be seen in public after the short rest
” Let us assure all indigenes of Ibadanland that our Baba is well and ready to ascend the throne of his forefathers without any delay contrary to several rumours and antics of that want to overtake the Ibadan tradition and customs.
“We are in contact with Oba Olakulehin and in a very short time, Our Baba will make his public appearance as the next Olubadan of Ibadanland.”
The group said the clarification is important to dispel any uncertainty arising from the absence Oba Olakulehin at meetings initially convened to deliberate on his nomination to Governor Seyi Makinde as appointment as the next Olubadan.
The group described as unfair and inhuman of a statement from some quarters that the inability of Oba Olakulehin not to have made public appearance in recent times translated to illness or unwell and such should be disregarded.
The group said Oba Olakulehin have all it takes to be next Olubadan and nothing will change that not even those that are permutating to take what does not belong to them as of now.
“We therefore want to join the family of Oba Olakulehin to debunk the rumour that he is incapacitated. We are all in good spirits preparing for his installation as the next Olubadan which will soon be done.
“We appeal to people to stop fake rumour and lets continue to pray for our next Olubadan that God should grant him the needed wisdom and knowledge to paddle the canoe of Ibadanland.”
