More Troubles For Balogun, As Former House of Reps Member, Sarumi Declares Intention, Meets Ibadan North LG PDP Exco

As 2023 election draws near, it seems there are political troubles ahead for the current Senator, Oyo South senatorial district, Senator Kola Balogun as more competitive aspirants from the fold of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the state continue to emerge, this time, former Reps member, Tayo Sarumi is the latest.

Former House of Representatives member, and leader, People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the state, Hon Tayo Sarumi has declared his intention formally to run for the Oyo South Senatorial district come 2023.

Hon Sarumi declared his intention during an interactive with members of the executive of PDP, Ibadan North local government led by its chairman, Seun Adelore held at his Glory View Estate and Suites, Bodija, Ibadan.

Speaking with newsmen after the meeting, the Director General of Tayo Sarumi Campaign Organization, Prince Ayoade Ola-Akanji said the meeting was continuation of Hon Sarumi consultations with party stakeholders across board.

Prince Akanji said at the meeting, Hon Sarumi nderscored the need to seek the consent of the people of his local government, Ibadan North saying they were central to realizing his ambition.

He added that Hon Sarumi assured the people that he knew the challenges inherent in his constituency, assuring that they would be tackled with the cooperation of the people.

He stated that it would be irresponsible to sit and continue to expect other persons to bring progress and development to the senatorial district without adding his own experience and goodwill.

The Aspirant urged party faithful to shun politics of bitterness and pull-him-down syndrome, noting that such brand of politics now belonged to the past.

The DG who assured the people of continuous consultation, said Oyo South senatorial district would record quality representation through Hon Tayo Sarumi if given the opportunity.
