Mogaji Abiodun Commends Tinubu, Supreme Court

Mogaji Olubadan, Lato’s compound, Labo Ibadan, Mogaji (Prof) Gbolagade Abiodun has again commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu over the landmark Supreme Court judgement which granted full financial autonomy to the Local Government administration.

Mogaji Abiodun stated this while fielding questions from journalists on Tuesday at Ibadan.

Mogaji (Prof) Gbolagade Abiodun said President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has demonstrated uncommon courage and leadership in a manner that seeks to return Nigeria on a trajectory of growth and development.

The Universisty Don explained that the recent judgement by the nation’s apex court is coming after much failed expectation which is also long overdue.

He stated local government administration remains the bedrock of democratic governance as it is the closest to the grassroots and must not be denied ppwer to impact directly on the lives of the people with numerous life-changing programs and projects.

He added that sanity had been restored to the Nigerian political space as this will allow the dividends of democracy to reach the masses.

“Our President has shown capacity in the fight towards strengthening the Nigeria’s Democracy, and with this Local Government financial autonomy, he has once again set to recalibrate the wheels of our political and Economic growth in a way that it will make clear meanings to the average citizens.

“I salute Mr. President for this global road map that will usher in true and practical development in our nation”

Also, Prof Gbolagade called on all Nigerians of all extraction not to participate in any national protest which may bring about anarchy in the nation.

He said dialogue remains the only solution through which conflict and misunderstandings can be resolved.
