The Spokesperson, Authentic Mogaji’s of Ibadanland, Mogaji Olawale Oladoja on Thursday visited Iyaloja General of Oyo State Princess Folashade Abeo at her Bodija market, ultra modern complex.
Mogaji Olawale Oladoja who is also the Mogaji of Akinsola compound, Ibadan said he was at Princess Abeo’s store to assure her of his support among other things.
Mogaji Oladoja appealed to Governor Seyi Makinde to officially present Certificate of Office to the Iyaloja-General of Oyo state, Princess Azeezat Folashade Abeo in order to end all forms of bickering and side talk.
He said Abeo is eminently qualified to be in the position owing to her high level of education, exposure and her business acumen over the years.
Mogaji Oladoja said that while the office of Babaloja-General, now occupied by Alhaji Y. K. Abass was zoned to Ibadan, that of Iyaloja-General is important to be zoned to Oyo where Princess Abeo hails from in order to engender equitable distribution of its offices.
He expressed dissatisfaction on why some set of people from Ibadan would continue to deliberately cause disaffection and crisis within the state Market union Council by parading themselves of what they are not.
“As things stand in Oyo State as at today, Governor is an indigene of Ibadan, Deputy Governor, Oke Ogun, Speaker from Ibarapa, Chief of Staff from Ogbomoso, SSG from Iseyin, Chief Judge from Ibadan, Babaloja, also from Ibadan, where is now the space for representation from Oyo.
This also becomes Important to sustain the structure of Gov Makinde in ancient Oyo town as the people of Oyo town contributed greatly to the electoral success of Gov Makinde.”
Mogaji Oladoja added that he as a believer in Gov Makinde’s school of governance will always support equity, justice and fairness which is the Hallmark of the G-5 Governors led by former Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike and Gov Seyi Makinde as the group youth leader.
“Iwo lokan (You are the to be Iyaloja General) and so shall it be. I’m here to show that I’m with you. There are rumours that you own no shop, but on getting here, I’m shocked to see this massive complex and super store right in the heart of Bodija. I pray God will strengthen you and take you there.
Wike said I will not allow anybody to disrupt my political structure, also Governor Seyi makinde believe in equity, justice and fairness, I will not open my eyes and allow anybody to rubbish Makinde political structure, I will discuss my visit with all the members of authentic mogaji of Ibadan land in the next meeting headed by Mogaji Musiliu Olaonumi Aperin. All decisions stop on Makinde’s table as the Chief Executive of the state.”
Responding, Princess Folashade Abeo appreciated Mogaji Olawale Oladoja for the visit word of encouragement.
She said market men and wen are ready to support Gov Seyi Makinde in his quest of turning the fortune of the state to the very best.
The Iyaloja General added that it is the responsibility of everyone to ensure the state government succeeds in all sectors and the leadership of markets in Oyo State must also be involved.
It would be recalled that the late Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi III installed Princess Abeo as the Iyaloja-General of Oyo state on April 26, 2021 following her recommendation by the Oyo state Market Leaders Council in due compliance with the existing zoning formula to engender equity, fairness, and justice.
