Ibarapa North Chairmanship Aspirant, Siji Ganiyu Commends Governor Makinde As First Governor In Nigeria To Set Up Committee To Review Minimum Wage.

Following the recent setting up of a committee to review salaries of civil servants in Oyo state by the state Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde, a Chairmanship Aspirant for Ibarapa North Local Government in the next year local government elections, Sanitarian Siji Ganiyu has described the step as historic and unprecedented.

In a statement by his media office on Wednesday morning, Sanitarian Ganiyu who is also the immediate past Provost, Oyo State College of Health Science And Technology Eleyele, Ibadan said the step taken by Governor Makinde is laudable.

He stated that Oyo State government is the first state to have taken such direction, making it a pacesetter just like the name of the state.

He added that it was after the commendable step of Governor Seyi Makinde that other state Governors begin to follow the trend.

“As a former civil servant and now a pensioner, I can boldly say the Governor is worker friendly and always after the well being of the workforce.

I want to commend our leader in the state for making Oyo State proud among the comity of states.”

He promised to follow the good path of the Governor if elected next year as the Chairman, Ibarapa North Local Government.

He called on all workers in the state to continue to cooperate with the state Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde in his bid to move the state forward.
