Taye Taiwo, a former Super Eagles defender, has accused former team manager Stephen Keshi of kicking him off the team using unscrupulous business practices.
Under the late Keshi, Taiwo only made one appearance for the three-time African champions, and it was also his final game with 59 caps.
According to the former Marseille defender, he left the Super Eagles because he did not want to be connected to any sordid glory under Keshi.
Taiwo, cited by Legit, said, “I packed my bags and left the Super Eagles because I am someone who doesn’t want dirty glory and in my life, I have never been involved in what is not clean.”
