A Presidential candidate, Fernando Villavicencio, has been shot dead in Quito, the capital of Ecuador.
According to ABC News on Thursday, the candidate was killed on Wednesday at a political rally in Quito.
His death was confirmed and announced by President Guillermo Lasso as he claimed an organized crime was behind his death.
A viral video on Twitter showed Fernando who was being guarded to his car being hit three times to the head.
Villavicencio, who was known for speaking up against cartels and corruption, was married and is survived by five children.
