Association of Nigerian Broadcasters (ANBROAD), Ogun State chapter has congratulated the Ogun State Television (OGTV) over the recent awards won by some members of staff of the station.
In a release by its Chairman Gbenga Goke Fadiran and made available to Rock Hill news on Monday, said the awards confirmed the leadership role and high level of professionalism by the station
It will be recalled that Ogun State Television (OGTV) emerged as one of the biggest winners at the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Ogun State Council Press Week awards, with four of its talented journalists receiving prestigious honors.
Some of the awardees who are members of staff of the station included_Aderonke Oladele_, a skilled journalist, was awarded the ‘Judicial Reporter of the Year’ for her exceptional writing skills and comprehensive coverage of judiciary proceedings.
Margaret Okunlola, renowned for her expertise in covering education and related matters, received the ‘Education Reporter of the Year’ award for her uniquely insightful reportage.
Opeyemi Adewunmi was honored as the ‘Newscaster of the Year’ for her exceptional news delivery, composure, and impeccable command of English.
Seyi Alao received the ‘Best Sports Journalist of the Year’ award for his versatility in sports reportage, news casting, and exceptional anchoring of sports programs.
Fadiran said the awards were testament to the fact that despite stiff competition in the broadcasting space, OGTV remains relevant and retain its leadership position.
He urged the awardees to continue to give their best and not rest on their oars while others should emulate the good acts and continued to give their best even when day of recognition is not yet known.
