Ibadan North PDP Chairman, Seun Adelore, on Sunday, resigns over alleged injustice and mposition in the build to the August 16, 2025, re-run election in the Ibadan North federal constituency.
It was also reported that the Chairman, Seun Adelore, stepped down from his role and withdrew his membership from the party.
Adelore, a known political ally of Governor Seyi Makinde, cited systemic injustice, lack of appreciation for party loyalty, and a drift from democratic values as reasons for his decision. His resignation, which took effect on July 7, 2025, was confirmed through a letter obtained in Ibadan.
In the letter, Adelore expressed disappointment over what he described as the increasing personalization of the party’s affairs by a select group. He claimed that the PDP in Oyo State no longer operates as a collective political body but rather as a private concern run by a few influential individuals.
