Leaders and members of the All Progressive Congress, Afijio local government area of Oyo State have given their support to Mr Peter Abidemi Olaoluwa, whom they claimed possesses wealth of experience to lead Oyo State and positively influence its economy.
According to the party during a general meeting held at the party office, Jobele, Oyo, they are more prepared to stand solidly behind Olaoluwa in his quest to govern the state.
The local government APC Chairman, Hon Gbade Adeyemo disclosed that the entire members of APC in the local government had agreed to throw full supports behind the aspirant and that Olaoluwa was their choice of candidate to take the state’s seat of power after Makinde.
He indicated that job of party men were to ensure that voice of people they were representing count and that there right to choice of aspirant, were well protected.
The chairman hinted that the members of party, were pleased with choice of Olaoluwa to lead them, and that they, as leaders, must ensure that the preferred aspirant, received solid support during the APC’s primaries in 2026.
Also in their separate comments, a former deputy majority leader, Hon Leke Fatokun and former Chairman, Afijio local government, Hon Remi Adeniyi said the entire members are solidly behind Olaoluwa’s ambition and would ensure he received required support when the time of decision comes.
On his part, Mr Peter Abidemi Olaoluwa who spoke through an aide, Ademola Dopamu commended the show of support, courage and actions of leaders and members of the party and assured the party’s that Olaoluwa would not disappoint both the APC and Oyo state and that the aspirant would run an all-inclusive government, should he gets to power in 2027.
He said that his meeting with the members of the party was an indication that the aspirant was ready to work with every members of the party and that he would not underrate any group’s willingness on supporting his mandate
Also present at the meeting included the overall leader of APC in Afijio local government, Pa Niyi Adegbite, former council chairmen, Hon Samuel Olorode and Hon Tunde Ojo among others.
